 World’s Youngest Reigning Monarch , King Oyo, Dies at 34 King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the traditional ruler of Uganda’s Tooro Kingdom who became the world’s youngest reigning monarch after ascending the throne at three, has died at the age of 34. The monarch reportedly died on Thursday, with the Prime Minister of the Tooro Kingdom, Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki, announcing his death on Friday. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed. However, Ugandan media reports quoted a government minister as saying that King Oyo had been critically ill and was receiving medical treatment in the United States. Reacting to the development, Akiiki described the monarch’s death as a major loss to the royal family and the people of Tooro. He urged members of the kingdom to remain united and calm while mourning the traditional ruler. The police in Gauteng have arrested a man that is suspected to be responsible for the Monaco Tavern shooting incident that happened in Mamelodi during July of 2022. 

The 25-year-old suspect who has been on the list of police's most wanted suspects was arrested in Mamelodi by the Tshwane Anti-Drug Unit and Mamelodi Combat Team on Thursday, 24 November 2022. The suspect, who was found in possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition during his arrest, is linked with several cases that include car hijacking, murder, attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
