 Anambra Govt Warns Against Purchase of Encroached Land at Trans-Nkissi By MaryAnn Chukwuma The Anambra State Ministry of Lands has warned members of the public against purchasing plots at TransNkissi Phase 1, behind the Federal Government Girls College, Onitsha, from persons claiming ownership on behalf of the Umuosodi family of Onitsha. The warning was contained in a public notice dated Sept. 28, 2026, with Ref. No. PS/ML/2026/CR/VOL.II/028 and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Nkeiru Mokwe, for the Commissioner. According to the notice, the Ministry became aware that persons alleged to be members of the Umuosodi family had invaded and commenced clearing portions of the land with the intention of selling them to unsuspecting members of the public. It said compensatory plots had been allocated to the family and other families in Onitsha before the current administration. Anambra State Government Presents Certificate of Recognition To The Traditional Ruler Of Umuomaku
 

....charges him to use the Throne and unify the Community

Today, The Governor of Anambra State Prof Chukwuma Soludo presented a Certificate of Recognition to HRH Igwe Livinus Obinna Ezenwa, Onunekwulu Ora ll of Umuomaku, as the new traditional ruler of Umuomaku Community in Orumba South L.G.A of the State. The Governor in his remarks during the event which took place at Exco Chamber Government House Awka, charged the monarch to use his position to unify the community so as to build and sustain peace in the community and beyond.

He also commended the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and community affairs, Hon. Tonycollins Nwabunwanne for his efforts towards ensuring that peace is being restored in the community and other communities in the State.

It could be recalled that, after several reconciliatory meeting to end the conflict which rocked the community in the past and kept them without a traditional for years, but with the effort of Mr Commissioner, the people of Umuomaku Community, on 24th Day of September 2022, following a Free and Fair Election Supervised by the Anambra State Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, elected Chief Livinus Obinna Ezenwa as their Traditional.

The Event was graced by some personalities in the state. Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
