 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT RESTORES PEACE IN IGBAKWU COMMUNITY. 


The Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs - Hon Tonycollins Nwabunwanne  invited the village leaders and stakeholders of Igbakwu Community in Ayamelum L.G.A for reconciliatory meetings.

Resolutions reached include the following:

i. Igbakwu Town Union Constitution is still very much intact and still a working document with the government. 
That a section of the constitution is a subject of litigation does not invalidate the said constitution. Unless the court says otherwise since it is already in court.

ii.Traditional Rulers are not part of the Town Union and should desist from interfering in town union activities. 

iii. It is also overwhelmingly and unanimously agreed that it is the turn of Eriator Village to produce the next President General of Igbakwu Town Union and they should be allowed to do so without further interference from any quarters. 

iv. The Igbakwu Town Union Election has been fixed and published to hold on 30th of December 2022 in Igbakwu Town.
