 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT RESTORES PEACE IN IGBAKWU COMMUNITY. 


The Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs - Hon Tonycollins Nwabunwanne  invited the village leaders and stakeholders of Igbakwu Community in Ayamelum L.G.A for reconciliatory meetings.

Resolutions reached include the following:

i. Igbakwu Town Union Constitution is still very much intact and still a working document with the government. 
That a section of the constitution is a subject of litigation does not invalidate the said constitution. Unless the court says otherwise since it is already in court.

ii.Traditional Rulers are not part of the Town Union and should desist from interfering in town union activities. 

iii. It is also overwhelmingly and unanimously agreed that it is the turn of Eriator Village to produce the next President General of Igbakwu Town Union and they should be allowed to do so without further interference from any quarters. 

iv. The Igbakwu Town Union Election has been fixed and published to hold on 30th of December 2022 in Igbakwu Town.
