 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. DON'T CAMPAIGN ON OUR PULPITS, NKST WARNS POLITICIANS



The Universal Reformed Christian Church popularly known as NKST in Benue State has warned politicians to desist from campaigning on its pulpits.

In a statement yesterday NKST General Secretary, Reverend Ephraim Shir, said the warning became necessary following the visit of the Benue’s APC governorship candidate, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, to its just concluded National Conference Choir during which an unfortunate scenario purportedly occurred.

Shir said while the conference went on break, the governorship candidate used the period for the “unfortunate incidence” purportedly reported on social media and regarded by many as political campaign. 

The statement said, “That, NKST Church condemns that act in total and warns that no NKST event, Church service of any kind should be used as a rally for campaign by any political party or candidate. ”
