 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room. Dubai Police seal 91 Flats in Crackdown on Unlicensed Massage Services in 2022
 
The Dubai Police General Command issued a new warning urging the public against seeking services from unlicensed massage centres, which poses serious threats, including extortion and murder.
 
Major General Jamal Salem Al Jallaf, Director of the General Department of Criminal, confirmed that Dubai Police had launched several campaigns to combat this illegal activity by raising public awareness of the centres' harmful services, tracking down locations and operators of such unlicensed businesses, as well as arresting distributors of massage cards on vehicles.  He explained that this year Dubai Police, in coordination with strategic partners, have sealed 91 flats for violating the law and offering unlicensed services.

The director of Dubai CID reaffirmed that ensuring public safety is a shared responsibility between the Dubai Police and community members.
 
"Dial 901 or use 'Police Eye' service via Dubai Police smart App to report any suspicious, shady and illegal activities, including these unlicensed centres and their promotors," he urged.
 
Al Jallaf further noted that licensed massage centres are registered with Dubai Economic and Tourism, and whoever wishes to seek their services can verify that by simply contacting the concerned entities.
