 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion. SUNDAY MUOGHALU ACCEPTS HIS CRIME, SAYS HE IMPREGNATED THE 13 YEAR OLD  MOTHER.

The alleged suspect Sunday Muoghalu, who resides at Agu oye Umudioka Awka says he is responsible for putting the 13 year old girl in family way.

The 75 year old suspect stated this in an interview in Awka when he was asked the reason behind such action.

In his defense he said that he was only playing with the young girl and never intended to impregnate her.

This is coming after he was arrested last night by the Nigeria Police Force with the help of the honorable commissioner for women and social welfare, Hon Ify Obinabo.

Recall that over the weekend, a video of a 13 year old girl who was impregnated by her guardian went viral on the internet which prompted a swift response from the Women and social welfare boss.

The emergency response saw to the rescue of the girl and arrest of the suspect.

The young mother is currently in a safe place as the suspect will be arraigned in court for prosecution.
