 “No electricity, no vote,” South Africans threaten to shun ruling party ANC Residents in Katlehong, a township outside Johannesburg, have resolved to boycott South Africa's upcoming local elections on November 4 due to long-standing failures by authorities to provide basic services like electricity. For over 20 years, around 180 households in the community have relied on illegal electrical connections pulled from neighboring areas to power their homes. Angry over the lack of formal grid infrastructure, residents are directing their frustration at the ruling African National Congress (ANC). "We have made a collective decision: no electricity, no vote," said community leader Lesiba Rankapole, 59. "We know it is illegal, but we had no choice because we cannot live without electricity. SUNDAY MUOGHALU ACCEPTS HIS CRIME, SAYS HE IMPREGNATED THE 13 YEAR OLD  MOTHER.

The alleged suspect Sunday Muoghalu, who resides at Agu oye Umudioka Awka says he is responsible for putting the 13 year old girl in family way.

The 75 year old suspect stated this in an interview in Awka when he was asked the reason behind such action.

In his defense he said that he was only playing with the young girl and never intended to impregnate her.

This is coming after he was arrested last night by the Nigeria Police Force with the help of the honorable commissioner for women and social welfare, Hon Ify Obinabo.

Recall that over the weekend, a video of a 13 year old girl who was impregnated by her guardian went viral on the internet which prompted a swift response from the Women and social welfare boss.

The emergency response saw to the rescue of the girl and arrest of the suspect.

The young mother is currently in a safe place as the suspect will be arraigned in court for prosecution.
