Blood Stains As Gunmen Bomb Ihiala Divisional Police Station In Anambra

Hell was let loose between 12 midnight and 1am in the early hours of Wednesday 28th December, 2022 as daredevil gunmen invaded Ihiala Divisional Police Station bombing the  Police Division and Area Command  with rocket launchers and other missiles.
Reports say damages done to the Police Division and the Area Command were indescribable and unquantifiable as bombs exploded in the compound while people who lived around the ill-fated police station scampered for safety in the dead of the night.
It was equally gathered that there were blood stains in the premises but no lives were lost during the gruesome attack on the police facilities at Ihiala.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu Anthony, confirmed the attack on the police facilities at Ihiala, saying that operatives of the Police Division fought the gunmen to standstill as contained in the short press statement released from his office thereafter.
The press statement reads, “Our Operatives in the early hours of today 28/12/2022 engaged some gunmen who attacked Ihiala police divisional headquarters and recovers one abandoned Ak47 rifle. The gunmen escape the scene due to the superior fire of the police operatives, and no casualty was recorded.
“Unfortunately, the explosives the gunmen threw inside the police Station building had already ignited a fire and affected the building.
“The fire has been put off. Operation is still ongoing in the area, further details shall be communicated.”
