  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

The Kano State Police Command under the leadership of CP Mamman Dauda, psc(+) is announcing to the Public that the personnel of the Nigeria Immigration Service from Immigration Training School Orlu, will conduct four days of shooting range practice located at Hawan Kalibawa, Dawakin Tofa LGA Kano State from Wednesday 14th December 2022 to Saturday, 17th December 2022 from 0600hrs to 1800hrs daily.

2. Members of the Public, especially those residing at Dambazau, Gangaren Dutse, Tumfafi, Kakurum and Dandalama villages in Dawakin Tofa/Ungogo LGAs and its environs are advised to keep off from the area and not panic at the sound of shootings until the exercise is over. Thank you for your usual cooperation.
