 President Tinubu to Present 2026 Budget on Friday, December 19 President Bola Tinubu is set to present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to a joint session of the National Assembly on Friday, December 19, 2025. Ahead of the presentation, a formal communication from the Presidency will be read on the floor of the House of Representatives on Thursday, December 18, notifying lawmakers and staff of the President’s appearance. The notification follows a letter dated December 17, 2025, signed by Adm. Essien Eyo Essien, Secretary of Human Resources and Staff Development, on behalf of the Clerk to the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana. The letter was also copied to the Deputy Clerk and heads of departments. According to the letter, President Tinubu, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, will deliver the proposed 2026 budget at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Kaduna Teachers To Protest On Monday Over Unpaid Salary

The newly recruited secondary teachers by Kaduna state government are set to stage a peaceful protest on Monday 12th December 2022.

According to them, the protest is as a result of the seven months salaries they are owed by the state government under Governor Nasiru El-Rufai.

Recall that the teachers were handed letters of offer of provisional appointments on 19th July, 2021.

According to them, they had to wait until 17th May, 2022 before they were deployed. Since their deployment, the government has not paid them their salaries despite the high cost of living the country is currently facing, they said. 

They are calling on all the teachers concerned to converge at the state secretariat, ministry of education on Monday 12th December, 2022 to demand for justice for their unpaid seven months salaries.

Over four thousand newly recruited teachers are expected to take part in the protest, they said.
