 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. NBA Onitsha Wraps Up 2022 Law Week



The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Onitsha Branch has wrapped up its 2022 Law Week with a thanksgiving mass at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha 

The 2022 Law week with the theme: The Nigerian Lawyer: Overcoming Challenges To Successful Legal Practice in Fast Changing Socio-Political Economy, kicked off on Wednesday 6th December 2022 with activities such as Prison Visit, Football Competition, Lectures, Visit to the Sick and Elderly Lawyers, Cocktail and Dinner Night among others.

Addressing the Lawyers at the Sir Loius Mbanefo Bar Centre, High Court Premises Onitsha, the Chief Judge of Anambra State, Justice Onochie Anyachebelu charged them to make integrity their watch word in the profession.

Speaking to the ABS in an interview, the Branch Chairman, Mazi Uba. and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr Onyechi Ononye while appreciating God for a successful Bar Week., said one of the issues discussed was how to improve the legal system.

They pointed out that the number of Senior Advocates produced from the Branch this year is a clear testimony of the robust nature of Legal practice, East of the Niger.
