 PRESS RELEASE MINISTER OF INFORMATION LEADS HEADS OF AGENCIES TO BROADCASTERS CONFERENCE IN LAS VEGAS In an effort to strengthen broadcast collaborations and form strategic alliances, Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris fnipr, has led a delegation of heads of government agencies to the 2025 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Conference and Workshop in Las Vegas, USA. The NAB event, running from April 5 to 9, carries the theme “The Technology, The Trend, The Future” and will cover a range of topics, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud visualization, the creator economy, and sports production and streaming. OGUN POLICE ARRESTS 49 YEARS OLD MAN WHILE BATHING WITH BL0OD. 

A 49 years old man, Ganiyu Shina of No 4, Oguji street, Obantoko Abeokuta, was on Thursday, 15th of December 2022, arrested by men of Ogun state Police Command for bathing with blood at a community river in kotopo area of Odeda local government .

The suspect was arrested when members of the community sighted him at the River Bank, where he parked his Nissan commercial vehicle, came out with local sponge and a container filled with bl0od and started bathing with it. Immediately he discovered that some people are watching him, he took to his heels, but was chased and apprehended by members of the community. 

A call was made to the police at Aregbe divisional headquarters by a member of the community, and the DPO, SP Bunmi Asogbon quickly led the patrol team to the scene, from where the suspect was brought to the station. 
On interrogation, the suspect claimed to have a spiritual problem, and that a herbalist instructed him to perform the ritual. He claimed further the blo0d in his possession is not human blood, but that of cow. Meanwhile, the Commissioner of police has directed the remaining b1ood be taken to laboratory to analysis, to ascertain whether its human blo0d or not.

The CP also praised members of the community for not taken laws into their hand, he therefore assure them the suspect will be thoroughly investigated.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
