 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. The Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi and the Party's Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central, Senator Victor Umeh have joined friends and well-wishers of the former President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo in felicitating with him on his 70th Birthday Celebration. 

The very colorful Event which started with Thanksgiving Mass at St. Mulumba Catholic Church, New Heaven, Enugu, presided by the Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga and concelebrated by a team of Bishops and Priests subsequently turned into glintz and glamour, a gathering of the creme de la creme at the Oakland Event Center, Enugu where guests were treated lavishly; dancing and cheering the Celebrant. 

Senator Victor Umeh in a remark congratulated the new septuagenarian, Chief Nnia Nwodo and extolled him for his remarkable impacts in the Leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and towards achieving a better progressive Igboland. He described Chief Nwodo as a true patriotic Citizen who has contributed immensely in promoting the advocacy for justice, peace and unity in Nigeria. The OBI-dient Senator further prayed for many more happy years and good health of mind and body for the Celebrant. 

Among the notable persons who graced the Event were the Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, the Chairman of South East Traditional Rulers Council and Obi of Onitsha, HRM Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, the Leader of Pan-Yoruba Socio-Cultural Group —Afenifere, Pa Ayo Odebanjo and the Leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide led by the National Vice President, Chief Damian Okeke Ogene among numerous others.
