 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower. BLACK SUNDAY IN THE CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF MINNA. 

It is indeed a Black Sunday for the Catholic Diocese of Minna and the entire kafin-Koro Deanery. Very Rev. Fr Isaac Achi was burnt to Ashes by Bandits in his Parish at kafin-Koro, Local Government, Niger State. 

The most painful part of the attack which happened this early morning in the Catholic Church of Ss Peter and Paul is that they not only killed the parish priest, Rev Fr Isaac Achi, he was also set ablaze and burnt beyond recognition. 

His assistant Fr Collins Omeh was shot and is in a very critical condition in the hospital.

Please remember him in your prayers. May God console the Catholic diocese of Minna, the family members and the Catholic Church.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
