 Northwest University Debunks Claim Emir of Kano Sanusi Attended Lecture To Clear Carry-Over Northwest University, Kano, has dismissed a viral claim that the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, attended a lecture at the institution to clear an alleged academic carry-over. The university described the claim as false, baseless and misleading in a disclaimer dated August 10, 2026, issued by its Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Ibrahim, and published on its Facebook page. The institution said it had observed the circulation of a video showing Sanusi after attending a public lecture organised by the International Humanitarian Law Society at the university. According to the university, some social media users subsequently attached captions to the video claiming that the Emir had a carry-over and visited the institution to resolve the alleged academic deficiency. Adam Rich, an actor best known for starring in the ABC dramedy Eight Is Enough, died Saturday. He was 54 years old.

Family members confirmed the news to TMZ, but did not reveal a cause of death. The actor was reportedly found dead at his home, though foul play is not suspected.

Rich played Nicholas Bradford, the youngest son on Eight is Enough, for a total of 112 episodes. The series ran from 1977-1981 for five seasons, and co-starred Dick Van Patten, Betty Buckley, Grant Goodeve, Lani O’Grady and Laurie Walters, among others.

He began his career at Chatsworth High School with a drama teacher who also taught Kevin Spacey and Val Kilmer. Although he stepped away from the business in the early ’90s, Rich’s other TV credits include bit parts on The Six Million Dollar Man, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, CHiPs, Silver Spoons, St. Elsewhere, Baywatch  and Small Wonder, in addition to a larger role on Code Red.
