 CSO/MEDIA REVIEW: HEALTH MINISTER PATE SCORES FG HIGH  ON HEALTH SECTOR REFORMS The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, says civil society organisations play a critical role in strengthening Nigeria’s health system by providing feedback, identifying gaps and helping government translate policies into programmes that improve lives. The CSO/Media-Led Mid-Year Review of Nigeria’s Health Sector Reforms and Policy Dialogue on Monday, Prof. Pate stressed the need for sustained engagement between government, civil society and other stakeholders to achieve better health outcomes. The Minister said the Federal Government, under President Bola Tinubu, recognises that rebuilding the health system after years of underinvestment will take time. FIRST PALESTINIAN FEMALE PASTOR ORDAINED IN JERUSALEM.(PHOTOS).#CONGRATULATIONS.

The first Palestinian female pastor has been ordained during a packed ceremony at a Lutheran church in Jerusalem’s Old City.


Sally Azar will head the English-speaking congregation at the Church of the Redeemer, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land said.


Ms Azar will be one of five ordained women in the Middle East. 


The West Bank and Gaza Strip were home to around 47,000 Christians as of 2017, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics said. 


Most Palestinian Christians belong to denominations that do not allow female clergy.


A very small minority belong to Protestant congregations that have women as ministers.
