 I Don’t Wish It On You – Genevieve Nnaji Knocks Trolls Age-shaming Her Veteran Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has responded to social media trolls who made age-shaming comments about her. According to Naija News, a user on X reacted to Genevieve's post on April 3, 2025, stating that she couldn't escape aging and was getting older. The comment read, “You really cannot cheat nature. My fine wine is finally growing old.” In her reply, Genevieve pointed out that things could be worse; she could age significantly and eventually die if she were fortunate. She wrote, “It gets worse, bro. I’ll get so old I’ll die. If I’m lucky.” Another troll referred to her as “mummy,” suggesting she was old, but Genevieve quickly dismissed the comment, saying she wouldn’t wish old age on him.  Gunmen open fire at Anambra residents, kill four

Four persons, including a woman,.were on Tuesday killed by hoodlums in Eziani in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The yet-to-be-identified deceased lost their lives during an indiscriminate shooting by the miscreants armed with Ak47.

The Nation gathered that the hoodlums immediately took to their heels, leaving the deceased in the pool of their blood.

Confirming the incident, Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga said the unidentified lifeless bodies were recovered during Police/military operations in the area.

He said the bodies have been deposited in the morgue.

He said: “Police/military operations have been intensified in Ihiala and its neighboring town as operatives responded to a distress call in the early hours of today 10/1/2023 at Nzomiwu Street, Eziani, Ihiala, recovered yet unidentified lifeless bodies, three males and one female at the scene.

“Preliminary information reveals that the criminal elements armed with Ak47, started shooting indiscriminately and unprovoked. 

“Unfortunately, bullets hit four unarmed civil populace. The bodies have been deposited in the morgue.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
