 SANWO-OLU COMMISSIONS ELECTRIFICATION PROJECTS IN BADAGRY BORDER COMMUNITIES …says state strategically positioned to regulate, expand electricity supply Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, today commissioned electrification projects in the Badagry axis, saying that investments in such projects will be a lasting benefit to the people. The projects being commissioned include three HC Tower Crossings, the newly rehabilitated 33KV distribution lines along the Gaji-Seme, Owode-Apa corridors, and the connection of fifty-one transformer substations. These represent a deliberate intervention by the state government to address the longstanding electricity challenges in the axis.  Gunmen open fire at Anambra residents, kill four

Four persons, including a woman,.were on Tuesday killed by hoodlums in Eziani in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The yet-to-be-identified deceased lost their lives during an indiscriminate shooting by the miscreants armed with Ak47.

The Nation gathered that the hoodlums immediately took to their heels, leaving the deceased in the pool of their blood.

Confirming the incident, Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga said the unidentified lifeless bodies were recovered during Police/military operations in the area.

He said the bodies have been deposited in the morgue.

He said: “Police/military operations have been intensified in Ihiala and its neighboring town as operatives responded to a distress call in the early hours of today 10/1/2023 at Nzomiwu Street, Eziani, Ihiala, recovered yet unidentified lifeless bodies, three males and one female at the scene.

“Preliminary information reveals that the criminal elements armed with Ak47, started shooting indiscriminately and unprovoked. 

“Unfortunately, bullets hit four unarmed civil populace. The bodies have been deposited in the morgue.”
