 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Gunmen open fire at Anambra residents, kill four

Four persons, including a woman,.were on Tuesday killed by hoodlums in Eziani in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The yet-to-be-identified deceased lost their lives during an indiscriminate shooting by the miscreants armed with Ak47.

The Nation gathered that the hoodlums immediately took to their heels, leaving the deceased in the pool of their blood.

Confirming the incident, Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga said the unidentified lifeless bodies were recovered during Police/military operations in the area.

He said the bodies have been deposited in the morgue.

He said: “Police/military operations have been intensified in Ihiala and its neighboring town as operatives responded to a distress call in the early hours of today 10/1/2023 at Nzomiwu Street, Eziani, Ihiala, recovered yet unidentified lifeless bodies, three males and one female at the scene.

“Preliminary information reveals that the criminal elements armed with Ak47, started shooting indiscriminately and unprovoked. 

“Unfortunately, bullets hit four unarmed civil populace. The bodies have been deposited in the morgue.”
