  The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has dismissed a viral claim circulating on social media about the introduction of new ₦5,000 and ₦10,000 banknotes, labeling it as fake news. The claim, which included fabricated images of the supposed new denominations featuring Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Chief Obafemi Awolowo, falsely stated that the new notes would enter circulation from May 1, 2025. In a statement on its verified Facebook account, the CBN clarified that the content is not from the bank and directed the public to its official website, (www.cbn.gov.ng), for authentic information. The bank warned against spreading misinformation regarding monetary policies and urged Nigerians to rely only on official statements from its verified channels. GUNMEN STORMED FRENCH MONTANA'S VIDEO SHOOT,ABOUT 10 PEOPLE INJURED.(VIDEO/PHOTO).


At least 10 people were injured following a shooting at a Miami Restaurant during Moroccan-American Rapper, French Montana's video shoot.

The Thursday night incident happened outside the Licking Restaurant in Miami where French Montana and New Orleans Rapper, Rob 49 were recording a music video.


“Our hearts are heavy and go out to the victims of this senseless act,” the restaurant, the Licking said. “We were not aware of a video being filmed and found out last min[ute] French Montana was shooting a scene in the back parking lot. We have no idea what actually took place. The Licking restaurant has nothing to do with the incident and has given police the necessary footage requested.”
