  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. NO COMMISSIONER OF POLICE HAS BEEN POSTED TO LAGOS-POLICE.(PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE.

The Lagos State Police Command has been inundated with requests for clarification on the status of the Commissioner of Police in the Command.

We wish to state categorically that the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State is still
CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc, mnim, psc.

For the avoidance of doubt, no Commissioner of Police has been posted to Lagos State.

Members of the public are, therefore, urged to disregard fake news making the rounds that a new Commissioner of Police has been deployed to Lagos State Police Command.

It is hoped that this clarification would halt the barrage of calls to officers of the Command which has resulted in needless distraction and waste of valuable time.

The Lagos State Police Command will keep residents and the good people of Lagos State updated whenever the need arises.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
