 Kaura Youth Set To Tackle Farmer-Herder Conflict  On Saturday, May 4th, 2024, the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kaura Local Government Area (LGA) chapter, convened a congress meeting to engage with local youth on issues pertinent to the community. The congress, uniting key youth stakeholders and pressure groups, welcomed attendees such as Mrs. Zipporah Z. Cronoh, the Youth Officer of Kaura LGA, alongside Comr. Istifanus Yakubu, Comr. Jubal Dabo, Comr. Victor Galadima, Comrade Emmanuel N. Wada, DSS officers from Kaura, Fulani leaders, and various chiefdom youth leaders. In her opening remarks, Comr. Patience Stephen Gandu, the coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kaura LGA chapter, expressed gratitude to the youth for their support.  She commended their efforts in maintaining peace within the local government, emphasizing the crucial link between peace and development. OBASANJO ENDORSED PETER OBI FOR PRESIDENCY.(PHOTO).

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has endorsed Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) for the presidency.

He made the endorsement on Sunday in his New Year message to Nigerians.

According to him, “None of the contestants is a saint but when one compares their character, antecedent, their understanding, knowledge, discipline and vitality that they can bring to bear and the great efforts required to stay focused on the job particularly looking at where the country is today and with the experience on the job that I personally had, Peter Obi as a mentee has an edge. Others like all of us have what they can contribute to the new dispensation to liberation, restoration and salvaging of Nigeria collectively”.

He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison.  Punish my abusers within 48 hours or face lawsuit - Student bullied by her classmates threaten school authorities The bullied student of British Lead International School, Miss. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
