 Unknown individuals looted palliatives at our Owerri rally – City Boy Movement An empowerment programme organised by the City Boy Movement, a support group for President Bola Tinubu, descended into disorder on Saturday when a large crowd surged forward and looted items intended for distribution to beneficiaries across Nigeria's South-East region. The event, held at Heroes Square in Owerri, marked the official launch of the Renewed Hope National Tour and the City Boy Movement South-East Youth Tour and Empowerment Programme on March 14, 2026. It aimed to provide support to young people, market traders, and vulnerable individuals from Abia, Anambra, Imo, Ebonyi, and Enugu states. ON SEX DURING FASTING PERIOD


My Brother (Pst Kingsley Okonkwo) the marriage counselor has spoken, I can't counter or oppose the voice of an authority on this matter.

I can only add to what he has said. Even though my own view is slightly different. 

Now my addition based on biblical and practical reasoning.

SEX WITH YOUR SPOUSE DURING FASTING IS NOT WRONG. JUST BE SURE YOU ARE NOT ON A COMPLETELY DRY FAST FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. IF THE FAST IS A COMPLETE DRY FAST FOR A LONG PERIOD, HOW DO YOU REGAIN YOUR STRENGTH AND ENERGY AFTER SEX?

SEX CAN ONLY COME IN, IF YOU BREAK THE FAST EVERY DAY.

So know your kind of fast, to decide your kind of approach.

What comes out of the man during sex requires replenishment immediately. How do you replenish without eating, and if it is a dry fast, how do you eat and still be doing dry fast?

 Even if you are sleeping with your wife, something will still leave your body that must be restored immediately by either eating or drinking.

Otherwise, if not restored, you will become too weak for the task of fasting and sexing.

The Bible did not give a general command, but a general advice to couples.

So no one should make a generalized statement on the subject matter.

I married my wife a virgin, she a virgin, not me please, (smile) so even if I leave her for 40 days of fasting and prayers, I will still meet her and our marriage intact.

A man who married a retired runs girl, should not follow my 40 days of fasting without sex.

Your wife may go into masturbation or even commit adultery.

So wisdom is profitable to direct.

If what you are looking for is stronger than sex, then you can both agree to avoid sex as a mark of commitment and seriousness on your both part.

But sex during fasting is not a sin.

It can only become a distraction.
