 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. According to reports, Pele's funeral procession will see his coffin stop briefly outside the home of his 100-year-old mother Celeste Arantes who's bedridden, before heading to his final resting place.

Maria Lucia do Nascimento, sister of Pele, says the 100-year-old mother of the Brazilian football legend is unaware of her son’s death.

Pele's mother does not know that her son, the world-famous soccer legend, has died, his sister has revealed.

Celeste, who has just turned 100 and is looked after by daughter Maria Lucia do Nascimento, has not been told about her son's death.

Overnight it emerged Pele's only surviving sibling has yet to tell the matriarch her famous footballer son has lost his fight against colon cancer.
Pele will be buried at the Memorial Necrópole Ecumênica, a 32 storey cemetery in Santos, Brazil. This is the tallest cemetery in the world and the graves have a great view.

Pele will be buried on the 9th Floor.
