 Kwara Govt donates 150 off-road motorcycles to Nigerian Army •LGAs acquire 320 motorcycles to boost vigilantes' security operations  In a bid to further strengthen security operations and maintain peace across Kwara State, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government has donated 150 off-road motorcycles to the Nigerian Army. The motorcycles are expected to enhance troops' mobility and effectiveness, particularly in rugged terrains such as forests, where non-state actors may be hiding with intent to destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of the state. Police disperse suspected kidnappers,  Rescue thirty kidnap victims from kidnappers den

On 12/1/2023, information was received that suspected kidnappers were sighted at Sardauna Forest of Toto LGA , Nasarawa State where they held victims hostage.
In reaction to the unwholesome development, a joint operation was carried out by operatives of the Command in collaboration with Miyetti Allah Vigilante Group of Toto Local Government Area.

The kidnappers were however trailed to 
their enclave at Sardauna Forest; on sighting the operatives, the criminals dispersed in disarray deep into the forest.
Consequently, thirty (30) kidnapped victims comprising of 20 males and 10 females were rescued unhurt and taken to the hospital for medical examination and  shall be reunited with their family after debriefing. 

The Commissioner of Police has ordered continuous combing of the Forest and applauded the courageous effort of the  police operatives and Miyetti Allah Vigilante Group for a job well done. He further assured members of the public that the operation will be sustained inorder to sanitise the general area of suspected Criminals.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
