 PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MS. ADEDAYO BENJAMIN LANIYI AS DG/CEO OF THE MARYAM BABANGIDA NATIONAL CENTRE FOR WOMEN DEVELOPMENT President Bola Tinubu, has approved the appointment of Ms. Adedayo Benjamin Laniyi as the Director-General /Chief Executive Officer of the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development (MBNCWD) and  members of the Governing Council  for an initial term of four (4) years. In a letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume the appointment which takes effect from April 18, 2026, is in accordance with the provisions of Section 7 (1) and (3) of the National Centre for Women Development (Amendment) Act, 2023.  Three Cult Members Arrested In Rivers One Locally Made pistol Recovered

Following a tip-off, operatives of the Anti-Cultism Unit  Bori Annex of the Rivers State Police Command has arrested three alleged members of a cult group terrorising the area. 


The suspects namely Mr. Kensuanu Dick popularly known as Aaro,  Mr. Myimaka Olu and one Junior Mbo of Bean Community, were said to have been arrested in Gure community in Khana local Government area of the State.


Police said locally made pistol was recovered during a search that was conducted on the suspects' hideout. 


 The police urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police using the following emergency numbers: 08039213071, 08098880134.
