  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous.  Three Cult Members Arrested In Rivers One Locally Made pistol Recovered

Following a tip-off, operatives of the Anti-Cultism Unit  Bori Annex of the Rivers State Police Command has arrested three alleged members of a cult group terrorising the area. 


The suspects namely Mr. Kensuanu Dick popularly known as Aaro,  Mr. Myimaka Olu and one Junior Mbo of Bean Community, were said to have been arrested in Gure community in Khana local Government area of the State.


Police said locally made pistol was recovered during a search that was conducted on the suspects' hideout. 


 The police urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police using the following emergency numbers: 08039213071, 08098880134.
