  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us.  Tinubu's son, Seyi Bags Chieftaincy Title In Anambra


Seyi, the son of the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has been conferred with the chieftaincy title of ‘Nwannedinamba’ in Anambra State. 


He was honoured by His Royal Majesty, Igwe Peter Anugwu of Mbaukwu, as “Nwannedinamba” which could be translated to “a brother in a distant land”.


The chieftaincy investiture took place at the Palace of Igwe Peter Anugwu in Mbaukwu Awka South LGA of Anambra State following a courtesy call by Seyi to the Igwe, on Tuesday, January 24th.


Impressed by Seyi Tinubu’s demeanor and eloquence, and by commendation by a friend, Uzu Okagbue and the APC State Youth Leader, Igwe Anugwu spontaneously conferred the chieftaincy title on him.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
