  The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to hold an emergency meeting to address the uncertainty surrounding the future of Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle. According to sources, Chelle is considering terminating his contract as the team's manager. The development comes amidst Nigeria's struggles to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. With only seven points from six games, the Super Eagles are currently fourth in Group C, behind leaders South Africa, Rwanda, and Benin Republic. Pressure has been mounting on Chelle, prompting him to travel to Europe in search of reinforcements to bolster the team's defense. However, the uncertainty surrounding his future with the team has reportedly led to a change of heart, with Chelle now considering terminating his contract. Unknown Gunmen Abducts Scores Of School Pupils In Doma

Scores of pupils at LGEA Primary School Alwaza, Doma LGA of Nasarawa State have been kidnapped by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers. 

The gunmen invaded the public school Friday morning and whisked away the children to unknown destination. 

A community youth leader who confirmed the incident said the kidnappers were heavily armed. 

He said about six(6) children were abducted by the gunmen. 

Operatives of the Nigeria Police have been deployed for the rescue of the abducted children.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
