 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System.  The Senate has  confirmed the appointment of the former Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase (Rtd) as the new Chairman of Police Service Commission (PSC )


The red Chamber confirmed the former police boss after scaling through the screening hurdles by Senate Committee on Police Affairs headed by Senator Jika Halliru representing Bauchi Central 


Presenting the report of the committee during plenary in Abuja, Senator Halliru said Arase performed credibly well during the screening exercise and proved that he can lead the Police Service Commission (PSC ) as its Chairman. 


The Senate after adopting the report unanimously confirmed Solomon Arase as a substantive Chairman of the Police Service Commission.


It would be recalled  President Muhammadu Buhari in a letter to the Senate on Tuesday which was read on the floor of the upper legislative Chamber by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan asked the Senate to consider and screen the nominee for the post of Chairman, Police service Commission.


Buhari said the appointment is by the provision of section 154 (1) of the 1999 Constitution as amended.
