The immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano and wife, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano have stormed the popular Onitsha Main Market to solicit for votes as the wife, is contesting for the post of Anambra North Senatorial election for the 2023 general election.

Begging for votes on behalf of his wife, the former Governor vowed that the wife if elected would take the people of the zone to the next level, adding that her achievements especially in curtailing the sufferings of the down trodden were there for all to see.

He breminded the people that APGA as a ruling party in the State, has continued in the infrastructural development of the State, pointing out that the wife as a woman leader and mother, knew the problems of her children and people.

"APGA as the ruling party will continue to provide democratic dividends to the people and my wife will not deviate from ensuring that the people of Anambra North get their share of the national cake if elected. A vote for her is a vote for the betterment of the people," he explained.

Speaking, Mrs Obiano expressed satisfaction with the large turn out of the traders, vowing not to disappoint them as the State is APGA State, that gets 100 per cent votes in all elections.

Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of the market, Chief Innocent Ezeoha, reiterated that all votes would be given to her for her achievements when she was the first lady of the State.

"We welcome former Gov. Obiano and wife to Onitsha Main Market for their campaign rally and we will ensure she wins because she is a good mother and has done a lot for the poor under her Foundation."

Chief Ezeoha said that the traders and people of Anambra North would vote for her, adding that APGA remained the party to beat in the State, and beyond as a mass movement party.

He expressed displeasure at false socio media reports that the former first lady was never accepted when she came for the campaign rally in the market, advising such fake news mongers to desist from that for their own interest, saying that APGA remained a winning party.
