 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. Awka Monarch applauds Soludo's development strides

The traditinal ruler of Awka Obi Gibson Nwosu has expressed satisfaction with the pace of work in Awka and other communities in the state. In a press statement in Awka,the royal father used the opportunity to solicit for the tarring of roads conmecting his palace in Awka.

The royal father stated that he will continue with his subjects to support the present Administration as it means well for the people. 

In their separate remarks, an APGA stalwart and indigene of Awka, Chief Arthur Nwachukwu and Mrs Grace Agumadu recounted the ordeal residents of the area go through during the rainy season,and explained that the video showing the flooding in the social media attracted the compassionate attention of the Governor who swung into action immediately and Mobilised MP infrastructural Engineers to the site.

The two residents made it known that the flood almost drowned the oldest man and have killed some people in the recent past.

They expressed joy with the Governor's quick intervention and assured Governor Chukwuma Soludo that APGA faithful in Ward Five will continue to cast their votes for APGA. 

Responding the oldest man in Awka,Otochalu Ikwunne Ijeoma,Ozo Emma Ugochukwu and Ozo Mike Onwuasor thanked Governor Chukwuma Soludo for remembering the Awka people in his Road construction plans.
