A video showing one Miss Opemiposi Precious BOLAJI, an 18 year old 100L Mass Communication student beating her colleague identified as Miss Gloria AJAYI, a 100L Mass Communication student, in a private hostel outside the University campus has gone viral. In accordance with our institution's policies and extant regulations, the students who were captured in the viral video, appeared  before the Students' Disciplinary Committee at its emergency meeting held on Monday, May 6, 2024 for interrogations and appropriate recommendations, the report of which has been submitted to the University authorities. LASG SHUT DOWN ONLY CHRISLAND HIGH SCHOOL IKEJA  


  


The Lagos State Ministry of Education’s official order for the temporary closure of one of the Chrisland Schools affects only Chrisland High School, Ikeja, and not all the schools operated by the owners.   


  


This clarification is necessary to address the anxiety of parents and members of the public on the erroneous claim that the school defied the State Government order on its closure. 


  


For the avoidance of doubt, only Chrisland High School Ikeja, where Whitney was a student until the unfortunate incident, remains closed as directed and the school authority has complied. 


  


The regrettable death of Whitney, as reported, is undergoing investigation by the police and relevant agencies of the Lagos State Government. The findings of the investigation will be made public as soon as it is completed. 


  


However, Chrisland High School, Ikeja, will remain temporarily closed to students and staff to allow unhindered investigations and afford all stakeholders including parents, students, staff, and friends of the deceased, time to grieve.

 Punish my abusers within 48 hours or face lawsuit - Student bullied by her classmates threaten school authorities The bullied student of British Lead International School, Miss. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
