 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. NEW NAIRA NOTE: Man Who Slumped And Died Inside Bank In Delta Identified As A Building Material Merchant

The man who slumped and died inside a bank in Agbor, Ika Local Government Area of Delta State, has been identified as Mr Vincent Igweh, a building material merchant.

Sources revealed that late Igweh went to the Bank in Agbor for some transactions, but unfortunately, after spending hours unattended to due to the crowd, collapsed. He was rushed to St. John Catholic Hospital, Agbor where he was confirmed dead. 

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident said the deceased was waiting to collect his Automated Teller Machine card at the bank. 

Receiving sympathizers at the deceased?s residence in Andy Iyama Street, Agbor, his wife said she got a call to come to Catholic Hospital, Agbor, adding that when she got there, she discovered that her husband who left the house that morning hale and healthy was dead and had already been taken to the mortuary.

Some of the sympathizers, in their speech, maintained that the ugly incident is a result of the unpopular policies of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), that has brought untold hardship to Nigerians.
