 BAMIDELE OLUMILUA UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNLOGY, IKERE-EKITI RE-A VIRAL VIDEO OF BULLYING OF A FEMALE STUDENT IN BOUESTI It has come to our attention that a disturbing incident involving some  students of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has surfaced on social media platforms. A video showing one Miss Opemiposi Precious BOLAJI, an 18 year old 100L Mass Communication student beating her colleague identified as Miss Gloria AJAYI, a 100L Mass Communication student, in a private hostel outside the University campus has gone viral. In accordance with our institution's policies and extant regulations, the students who were captured in the viral video, appeared  before the Students' Disciplinary Committee at its emergency meeting held on Monday, May 6, 2024 for interrogations and appropriate recommendations, the report of which has been submitted to the University authorities.  NSUK: Fire Engulfs Some Rooms At Old Boys Hostel

A fire incident has consumed seven rooms located on the first floor of the old boys hostel at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK). 


According to the Hall Administrator of the hostel Mr. Ibrahim Bala Mohammed, the fire which started around 2:30 am on Tuesday 7th February 2023 was quickly contained with the swift response of the University security and the University Fire Service. 


“Sadly, the inferno consumed rooms 65, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 73 and their adjoining conveniences.


“Luckily no life was lost in the incident as all the students resident in the hostel were requested to vacate their rooms immediately after the second-semester examination”, Bala added. 


Management of the University has already commenced investigations to ascertain the immediate and remote causes of the incident to forestall such an occurrence in the future.

 Punish my abusers within 48 hours or face lawsuit - Student bullied by her classmates threaten school authorities The bullied student of British Lead International School, Miss. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
