 Legendary actor Manoj Kumar dies at 87: ‘Roti Kapada Aur Makaan’ director breathes his last in Mumbai Manoj Kumar, the Bollywood actor and filmmaker, renowned for his patriotic films, passed away at the age of 87 at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The cause of his death was identified as cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction, according to medical reports. The medical reports confirmed that apart from a severe heart attack that took away his life, Manoj had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis for the past few months, ANI reported. Following deteriorating health condition, he was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025. Popularly known as ‘Bharat Kumar,’ Manoj Kumar was an exceptional director and actor who was honoured with National Film Award. Aisha Buhari donates a bus for national para-sports

The First Lady, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated that there is ability in disability, the First Lady was speaking while presenting a special bus to Nigeria’s Para Sports teams through the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, at the National Stadium on Friday 24 March 2023.
Mrs. Buhari, who was represented at the event by her Special Assistant on Health and Developmental Partners, Dr. Victoria Ogala-Akogwu further said that she is proud to associate with the Para-athletes who have won laurels for the country in many international competitions, she said this has confirmed the inclusivity agenda of the President Buhari led administration.
She further called on well-meaning Nigerians to liaise with the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports development in order to ensure that Nigerian Para Athletes are encouraged through investment in them, this she said would help to boost morale and give them assurances of communal support and encourage them to win more laurels for the country.
Minister of Youth and Sports Development Mr. Sunday Dare, in his address, noted that sports in Nigeria are a veritable tool for national unity, cohesion, peace, progress, and international diplomacy, noting the passion Mrs. Buhari has for Para Sports having sponsored the 2019 World Para Powerlifting championship in Abuja. He expressed confidence that with the establishment of the new National Sports Festivals and Para Sports department, his Ministry will achieve greater heights in the sector.
Ezekiel Elisha who spoke on behalf of the Para-Athletes and participates in the wheelchair race was also presented with a new Wheelchair.
Present at the ceremony were officials of the office of the First Lady, including SA Special Duties, Rose Audu, SA Media Adebisi Olumide- Ajayi, Executive Secretary, Future Assured, Mallam Saidu Suleiman and Head of Finance, Hajiya Laila Ribadu.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
