 Ohanaeze Council Condemns EFCC’s Declaration Of Lagos Governor's Ally, Aisha Achimugu Wanted The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has criticised the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over what it described as the "unjust persecution" of socialite and businesswoman Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu. The group, in a statement issued on Sunday by its National President, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, condemned the manner in which the EFCC raided Achimugu’s Abuja residence and declared her wanted, despite her being out of the country at the time. A viral video had earlier surfaced online, purportedly showing EFCC officials at the Achimugu family home, where her 80-year-old mother was allegedly forced to sit on the floor and she was denied water. Amotekun Arrests Hoodlum With Gun In Osun


The operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps have arrested a 35 yr old man, Tunde Abidoye with a single barrel gun in Ile Ogbo, Ayedire Local Government of Osun State.


He was arrested on Friday following a complaint lodged at Ayedire’s command on the activities of Abidoye unleashing terror attacks on residents of the town and destroying their properties. Operatives of Amotekun swung into action instantly and got him arrested.


Confirming the arrest, the Osun Amotekun Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi said the suspected hoodlum was arrested by the operatives for terrorizing the residents of Ileogbo and its environment.


According to him “The suspected hoodlum was arrested on Friday after a complaint was lodged at Ayedire local government command that the suspect was unleashing terror assaults on the innocent people of ileogbo and also destroying their properties and our men swung into action shortly after the complaint was made and the culprit was arrested and a single barrel gun was found on him at the time of his arrest”.


“The suspect was also alleged of causing violence during the last presidential election in the town by shooting at the people who wanted to exercise their civil responsibility and he was planning to disrupt the House of assembly election on Saturday before he was arrested”.


“During the investigation, he admitted to perpetrating the act”. Adewinmbi asserted.


The suspect has been handed over to the police for subsequent investigation and interrogation.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
