 Mexico says two US federal agents killed in crash were not authorized for operations inside country  Mexico’s government says two U.S. federal agents killed in a northern border-region crash were not authorized to take part in any operations on Mexican soil, raising new questions about their role in a cross-border drug lab mission. Authorities say the agents were returning from an operation targeting a clandestine drug facility in Chihuahua when their vehicle, traveling as part of a convoy, went off a ravine and exploded last weekend. Two Mexican officers also died in the incident. U.S. officials have confirmed the two Americans were CIA personnel, though their agency has declined to comment on the circumstances. Mexican officials say one of the agents entered the country as a visitor while the other used a diplomatic passport, and insist the government had no knowledge of foreign operatives conducting or planning any enforcement activity inside Mexico. Anambra State Government Installs barricades at Awka Main Market

The Anambra State Government through the office of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) has commenced the installation of wire mesh barricades at Awka Main Market.

Addressing the news men, the ACTDA Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ossy Onuko said that the installation of the barricades have become necessary due to the constant disturbing gridlocks on the axis and also for beautification.

He further said that the wire mesh is installed to put a check on the series of dangers faced by pedestrians and traders who are forced to inch closer to the road and become exposed to vehicular accident.

"I am optimistic that these barricades will provide a lasting solution to the gridlocks that have constantly bedeviled this market over time.

Mr Onuko reiterated his commitment toward ensuring that Awka Capital Territory attains the level of a befitting Capital, calling on Ndi Anambra to come out en- masse on March 18 to cast their votes for the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidates in order to enjoy a hitch free development in the state.

Mr Christian Nweke, a trader at the market, commended the action of Mr Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo in safeguarding the lives and property of the traders, adding that this is a step in the right direction.
