 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. EMEFIELE DEBUNKS FAKE NEWS Titled: "Emefiele launches fresh plot

against President-elect Tinubu"


The attention of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has been drawn to a story

published in The Nation newspaper of Monday, March 13, 2023 edition,


alleging that the Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele has launched a "fresh plot


against President-elect. The aforementioned story went further to allege that

the Governor has made a certain amount of money available to a candidate

ahead of the March 18, 2023, gubernatorial poll.


We wish to inform members of the public that this story is completely false and


malicious as the CBN Governor does not know and has never met or even


spoken with Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, either in person or through a proxy.


We wish to reiterate that the CBN Governor does not take part in politics and

therefore urge anyone with contrary information to prove the Governor wrong

by providing any facts.


As such, the Governor and his team at the CBN should be allowed to focus on


their assigned job with a view to achieving the statutory mandate of the Bank.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
