 NATO jets scrambled in Poland as Russia attacks Ukraine  NATO fighter jets were scrambled, and air defense systems were placed on alert in Poland after Russia launched a major overnight drone and missile assault on Ukraine, the Armed Forces Operational Command in Warsaw said. Polish authorities said the preventive measures, which included radar reconnaissance, were intended to secure airspace near threatened areas. The alert lasted nearly four hours, after which all systems returned to normal operations, and no violations of Polish airspace were reported. Spanish and Czech fighter jets, along with German and Dutch air defense systems, assisted in the response. Ukraine reported that Russia launched 653 drones and 51 missiles, including 17 ballistic missiles, overnight. Ukrainian air defenses intercepted or suppressed 585 drones and 30 missiles. Governor Abiodun has not dissolved cabinet, says OGSG

The Ogun State Government has refuted the report being circulated on some social media platforms, claiming that the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, has dissolved the State Executive Council.

An online news medium, The Encounter, had reported that the governor had dissolved his cabinet.

But in a statement issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Kunle Somorin, described the report as not only untrue, but misleading.

According to him, Governor Abiodun, having won his reelection, has continued to perform his functions as governor by working with members of his cabinet.

Somorin, who affirmed that the state exco is still intact as the governor has not directly or indirectly announced any dissolution, urged the people to disregard the report, which according to him is the figment of the imagination of the writer of the story.
