 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. POLICE ARREST 20-YEAR-OLD NOTORIOUS TRAFFIC ROBBER

- Recover Samsung Galaxy Z Flip

Officers of Ijora-Badia Division of the Lagos State Police Command on Monday, March 13, 2023 arrested one Damilare Akinwunmi 'm' aged 20, a member of a gang notorious for dispossessing motorists

of their belongings around Pallet area of Ijora-Badia, Lagos. 


Luck ran out on the suspect when his victim, whom he had just dispossessed of a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, quickly reported the incident at the nearest police station - Ijora Badia. Swiftly, detectives from the division


 traced the suspect to his hideout in Monkey Village where he was arrested and the phone recovered. 


Damilare, who confessed to having robbed at the same spot several times, is currently assisting the police in an ongoing investigation towards arresting other members of the gang.

Suspect(s) will be arraigned at the conclusion of investigations.


The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa, has assured residents of Lagos State that efforts are being redoubled towards eradicating all forms of criminality in the state.
