 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision. We Need Everyone On Board For A Better Rivers State - Sim Fubara


Rivers State Governor-Elect, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, receives CERTIFICATE OF RETURN from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Wednesday, 29th March, 2023 in Port Harcourt.


Speaking on behalf of himself, his Deputy, and the RSHA members elect who also respectively received their certificates of return, he remarked that he is set to take up the responsibility of governing the state prosperously from the superlative performance of his principal, father and leader, Gov Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, Life Bencher, Infrastructure Icon.


He, therefore, stated that the door and even windows are wide open to all even the opponents/opposition for objective and collective effort to moving our dear Rivers State forward and higher.
