 Walton, Kentucky- 2 elderly women lose their lives and another individual is critically injured in a crash that caused a dump truck to crash through restaurant.  While diners were enjoying a meal at Boondocks Pub on Tuesday, April 8th, a tragic incident occurred shattering the peaceful scene. At around 4:30 p.m. an SUV pulled out in front of a fully loaded dump truck. The driver of the dump truck attempted to brake and steer clear of the SUV but they were not able to avoid a collision. The SUV was struck by the dump truck and the impact caused the SUV to cross the southbound lane where it struck a guardrail and flipped before coming to rest on its top. Sadly the crash took the lives of 91-year-old Eva Mulberry and 89-year-old Betty Holland. A 66-year-old woman who was in the SUV was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. 2023 Election: Ex-UK Ambassador Makes U-Turn, Expresses Disappointment With INEC

Contrary to her earlier position, the former British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ms. Catriona Laing, has expressed disappointment with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the recently concluded 2023 general elections.


Ms. Laing made the assertion in a short video clip that’s currently trending on social media.


The video is a deviation from her previous statement in which she gave the conduct of the election passmark and told Nigerians to be proud of the outcome.


In the latest video clip, Laing retracted her opinion and expresses disappointment with INEC and reiterated her government’s threat to slam visa ban and/or other punitive measures on electoral offenders.


After the backlash public outcry, she seemed to have walked back her condescending and hasty endorsement of the election which has been adjudged by both local and international observers as poorly executed.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
