 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom. Five-storey Building Collapses In Lagos

A five-storey building at Ladipo Oluwole Street, GRA, Apapa area of Lagos, has collapsed.


The building which was under construction was said to have collpased following a thunder strike.


Officials of the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) have sealed the building.


Asimiyu Tiamiyu, a volunteer with the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) in Ajeromi Ifelodun LCDA, said no casualty was recorded in the incident.


He said there were no workers present at the scene of the incident, adding that the state government must beam a searchlight on the recurring incident of building collapse in the state.


The incident comes barely 10 days after a seven-storey building collapsed in the Banana Island area of the state.


Gbenga Omotoso, commissioner for information and strategy, confirmed that one body was recovered from the rubble of the collapsed building.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
