 Ariana Grande tells fans break from public appearances was planned long before recent announcement Ariana Grande returned to the stage in Chicago on Monday, Aug. 3 and used part of the show to clarify that her planned break from public appearances was decided well before it was announced. During her Eternal Sunshine Tour stop at the United Center, the singer read a prepared message to fans, saying the decision to step back after the tour was "not a reactive or impulsive thing" and that she had planned it "quietly, a long time ago." Grande also told the audience that suggestions that outside negativity was influencing her decision were not accurate. "No matter what noises exist out there, nothing will be able to distort my reality or be more real to me or not as real to me as this love that we share," she said. BETTER POLICING: IGP, RETIRED IGPs MEET AT IGP ARASE’s INSTANCE


Seek Effective Partnership between Police, PSC

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba psc(+), NPM,  fdc, NEAPS, CFR met with the Chairman, Police Service Commission, Ex-IGP Dr. Solomon Arase, NPM, fdc, FCIArB and retired Inspectors-General of Police today Wednesday 12th April, 2023, at the Police Service Commission Corporate Headquarters, Jabi, Abuja. The meeting which was at the instance of Dr. Arase, amongst other salient things discussed issues affecting the Commission and the Nigeria Police Force drawing experiences from the retired officers who have at various times piloted the affairs of the Nigeria Police Force, and the Commission. 

The retired IGP’s who graced the meeting included IGP Sunday Ehindero (Rtd.) CFR, NPM, fwc; IGP Mike Mbama Okiro (Rtd.) NPM, mni; IGP Ogbonna O. Onovo (Rtd.) CFR, NPM, mni; and IGP Suleiman Abba (Rtd.) CFR, NPM, NPoM, mni. The PSC Chairman appreciated the IGP and retired IGPs for honouring his invitation while assuring that the Commission under him will not relent in making sure that the welfare of Police Officers and Men are well catered to.

The Inspector-General of Police while assuring of the commitment of the Force under the current leadership to positive collaborations with the Commission for effective implementation of the Police Reform agenda, appreciated the PSC Chairman for the thoughtfulness in assembling the eggheads for the laudable meeting.
