 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. Business Activities Disrupted As Mile1 Cult Gangs Battle Over Resource Control

There was pandemonium at Elechi beach axis of Mile 1 Diobu, Porthacourt on Tuesday as two suspected factions (D12 and BS houses ) of Deygbam cult groups engaged themselves in a shootout over territorial control due to illegal bunkering activities in the area.

We gathered that the clash between D12 and BS houses of Deygbam cult groups which is the third within six months started last week Saturday with two persons feared dead.

Our correspondent who was at the area reports that some Police patrol vans were seen moving into the affected place even as gunshots rend the air periodically between the hours of 12pm to 3pm on Tuesday.

Some business owners hurriedly locked their shops and fled the area for fear of the unknown as gunshots were heard periodically .

the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police command SP Grace Iringe Koko confirmed the clash between the factions of Deygbam cult groups in a telephone  interview with our correspondent

She said it was a supremacy battle between suspected D12 and BS Deygbam cult groups .

The Police image maker disclosed that there was no death while adding that normalcy has returned to the area as two Police patrol van of Divisional Police headquarters Mile 1 Diobu has been deployed to the area on the orders of Commissioner of Police, CP Effiong Okon.
