 MODEL COLLEGES/UPGRADED JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS COMMENCE E-REGISTRATION FOR YEAR 2025 ENTRANCE EXAMINATION The Lagos State Government has commenced Year 2025 e-Registraton Entrance Examination (Screening Test) for primary 6 pupils transiting to junior secondary schools into its Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools.  The Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu confirmed that the e-Registration will commence on Thursday 6th February and ends on Friday, 16th May, 2025, adding that the Screening will be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT) only between Wednesday, 28th May and Friday, 30th May, 2025, at the various CBT designated centres across the State. Mr. Orunsolu stressed that qualified pupils from public and private Schools are to pay a sum of #10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira Only) for the Application. COFFIN REFUSES TO BE BURIED, HIT SUSPECTED KILLER ON HEAD IN CHIPEMBELE.

Drama and Confusion this morning erupted in Chiyobola village of Chipembele ward in Monze district after a coffin for a man in his 60s identified as Bruno Chilundu allegedly refused to be buried.

Chipembele Ward Councilor Bonaventure Mwiinga tells wave fm news that the drama started when the coffin started dragging poll bearers searching for the suspected killers.

Mr Mwiinga further explains that the coffin has hit the elder brother to the late on the head as one of the suspect killer behind the death of the late Chilundu.

He says the deceased was a retired teacher who died on 18th April 2023 in unclear circumstance.

The Civic leader says the burial was supposed to take place today after the church service.

By broadcast time, the coffin was still searching other suspected killers.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
