Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court. Court Restrains ABSIEC From Conducting LGA Elections in Abia

The Abia State Local Government election which is billed to hold on the 19th of May 2023, has suffered a setback as an order restraining Abia State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC) from organizing the said election has been granted.


Based on facts available to Ikoronews Honorable Justice Benson C. Anya of the Abia State High Court Arochukwu Division granted the order in a suit filed by Engr. Nwabueze Onwuneme (Suit No: HAR /8/2023) with Abia State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC), Prof. Mkpa Agu Mkpa, Attorney General of Abia State, and Governor of Abia State as defendants.


The order which was granted on the 23rd of March 2023, restrained ABSIEC from organizing or conducting any election and restrained ABSIEC from acting on any election timetable or programme pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.


The suit was then adjourned to the 23rd of April 2023 for the motion on notice.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours.
