“No electricity, no vote,” South Africans threaten to shun ruling party ANC Residents in Katlehong, a township outside Johannesburg, have resolved to boycott South Africa's upcoming local elections on November 4 due to long-standing failures by authorities to provide basic services like electricity. For over 20 years, around 180 households in the community have relied on illegal electrical connections pulled from neighboring areas to power their homes. Angry over the lack of formal grid infrastructure, residents are directing their frustration at the ruling African National Congress (ANC). Elon Musk’s SpaceX Starship Rocket Crashes

April 20, 20230

Elon Musk’s ambition to launch the largest rocket ever built into space has experienced a disastrous outing.

Starship, built by his company SpaceX is experimenting initial plans to take passengers to the moon and Mars.

But the attempted launch on Thursday exploded just before the rocket could make it into space in what was described as “a rapid unscheduled disassembly”.

This comes after the initial date of the launch (Monday April 17) was postponed due to a pressurization problem

The company had earlier said any takeoff from the launch pad will be considered as huge success.
