 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. ENUGU STATE GOV.-ELECT, MBAH INAUGURATES ACTRESS PATIENCE OZOKWOR AS A MEMBER OF HIS TRANSITION COMMITTEE




On Thursday, the Enugu State governor-elect, Peter Mbah, inaugurated Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor, along with 63 other members of his transition committee.

The committee, which comprises technocrats, financial and management experts, entrepreneurs, advocates for transparency and accountability, as well as technology and innovation specialists, was inaugurated at the Old Government Lodge GRA, Enugu.

Mbah expressed his gratitude to the committee for accepting the invitation to serve the State, and he expressed optimism that their diverse expertise and ideas would be utilized in developing a policy and action plan for his incoming administration.

“Ndi Enugu chose us because they believe that we are going to take them through the consequential journey of development, growth and greatness. And urged the committee to make the journey a verifiable road map, he said

Sharing the inauguration photos in a post on her Instagram page, Patience Ozokwor wrote, “For the love of Enugu State, for the love of my people I will serve faithfully. Thank you @pnmbah, I pray that all the great plans you have for our people will succeed.”

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
