 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom. FG is committed to ensuring food security— Ministry  

The federal government, has reiterated its's commitment to boost agricultural production, to ensure food security .

The minister of water resources, Engineer Sulaiman Hussaini Adamu, made the indication during the launching  of the N14 billion Gari irrigation project.

According to him, the dam situated between Kano and Jigawa states, would assist irrigation farmers in Dambatta, Makoda, Gari, Kazaure and Roni local government areas.

Engineer Hussaini Adamu said, the Dam, would serve over two thousand hecters of irrigation land, 44kg bug  canals, 6 tanks and feeder roads.

Also speaking, the managing director  Hadejia/Jama'are river basin authority, Alhaji Mahmud  Da'u Aliyu, described the irrigation site  as a catalyst to creating jobs, and boosting agricultural production.

He charged farmers to make judicous use of the facilities.

The team also  visited Kadawa in Garun/malam local government area kano, to flag off a hybrid seeds center, where farmers in Kano and other  neighbouring states, would benefit from maize, rice, sesame seeds among others.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
