 TROOPS OF OPERATION UDO KA UNCOVER SHALLOW GRAVE, EXHUME REMAINS OF LATE COMMUNITY LEADER IN IMO STATE Troops of 34 Artillery Brigade, operating under Operation UDO KA and through the ongoing Operation EASTERN SANITY II, have achieved another significant breakthrough with the recovery and dignified exhumation of the remains of the late Chief Ibe Anyadu of Aggah Community. Chief Anyadu was allegedly murdered by suspected members of a criminal gang recently apprehended in connection with violent crimes in the region. This development follows recent intelligence-driven operations that led to the arrest of suspects responsible for the killing of a Nigerian Army soldier and the recovery of stolen service weapons. During interrogation, one of the suspects confessed to involvement in the murder of Chief Anyadu and volunteered to lead troops to the burial site. FG is committed to ensuring food security— Ministry  

The federal government, has reiterated its's commitment to boost agricultural production, to ensure food security .

The minister of water resources, Engineer Sulaiman Hussaini Adamu, made the indication during the launching  of the N14 billion Gari irrigation project.

According to him, the dam situated between Kano and Jigawa states, would assist irrigation farmers in Dambatta, Makoda, Gari, Kazaure and Roni local government areas.

Engineer Hussaini Adamu said, the Dam, would serve over two thousand hecters of irrigation land, 44kg bug  canals, 6 tanks and feeder roads.

Also speaking, the managing director  Hadejia/Jama'are river basin authority, Alhaji Mahmud  Da'u Aliyu, described the irrigation site  as a catalyst to creating jobs, and boosting agricultural production.

He charged farmers to make judicous use of the facilities.

The team also  visited Kadawa in Garun/malam local government area kano, to flag off a hybrid seeds center, where farmers in Kano and other  neighbouring states, would benefit from maize, rice, sesame seeds among others.
