 Zango Kataf, Jaba PDP Committees Hold Reconciliation Meeting Ahead Of 2027 Elections The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Working Committees in Zango Kataf and Jaba Local Government Areas have held a strategic reconciliation meeting aimed at strengthening party unity and positioning the party for success in the 2027 general elections. The meeting, held on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Jaba Local Government Area, was jointly chaired by the PDP Chairmen of Jaba and Zango Kataf LGAs, Sabastine David Bijiri and Martins Markus Koyah. It brought together party executives, stakeholders, ward officials, elders, youth and women leaders, as well as members from both local government areas. Speaking at the meeting, the Zango Kataf PDP Chairman commended party leaders and members for supporting the zoning of the party’s House of Representatives ticket to Zango Kataf Local Government Area. Governor Adeleke Commences Construction Activities On Ife-ede Road


Osun state government has ordered for the immediate closure of Ife-Ede Road in view of construction activities at Eleweran area of Ile Ife.


In a statement issued on Tuesday, the directive followed the inspection of the area by Governor Ademola Adeleke on Monday.


The State Governor who was taken round the road and the almost collapsing bridge ordered the State Ministry of Works to mobilise to the road and fix it without delay.


As at the time of filling this report, the Ministry has mobilized to the site for eventual commencement of the construction work.


"This is to inform the general public that there will be construction activities at Elewe Iran area along old Ife-Ede Road. All motorists and road users plying this route are therefore enjoined to make use of alternative route or express road to link up Ile Ife, Kindly bear with us for the period of three weeks of the construction work.


The focus is to carry out repair work on the dangerous culvert along old Ife-Ede road near OAU campus.
