 SANWO-OLU CELEBRATES EX-FIRST LADY, ABIMBOLA FASHOLA AT 60   Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated the former First Lady, Dame Abimbola Fashola, on her 60th birthday, describing her as an Amazon, a selfless giver and an experienced administrator.   He said Abimbola, wife of former Governor of Lagos State and ex-Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), who clocks 60 on Sunday, is beacon of hope, positive energy and development, which she deployed in great proportions towards her pet projects during her tenure as First Lady. KDSG Security Update: Tuesday 4th April 2023

KDSG receives preliminary reports on kidnapping of about 10 students in Kachia LGA 

The Kaduna State Government has received preliminary reports from security agencies on the kidnapping of about 10 students in Kachia LGA. 

According to the preliminary reports, the students of Government Secondary School, Awon (a day secondary school) were kidnapped on Monday. 

The exact location of the incident is yet to be ascertained but detailed reports being awaited will clarify whether the incident occurred within the school premises or elsewhere. 

The Government will issue a public statement accordingly, when these reports are received.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
