 ‘Friend Of A Thief Is A Thief’, Defence Minister Warns Terrorist Sponsors The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), has cautioned Nigerians against aiding terrorists, insurgents, bandits, or other criminal elements, stressing that anyone who supports criminal activities will face the full weight of the law. General Musa made the warning on Saturday while speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at the Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day 2026 Golf Tournament held at the TYB Golf Resort and Country Club, Yar’Adua Barracks, Abuja. Kidnappers Release 74 Persons In Zamfara

In Zamfara State, 74 abducted from Wanzamai village in Tsafe Local Government Area of State have regained their freedom after payment of six million naira as ransom to the abductors.

A resident of the village who disclosed that the abductors have released 74 while two were killed, the remaining kidnapped victims are still in captivity.

The 74 victims were brought into the village in vehicles straight to a private hospital for medical screening.

They were said to have been abducted in the affected villages of Wanzamai, Gidan Cida and Kuceri but one of the victims later escaped.

The abductors demanded more money before they would release the remaining twenty persons still in captivity.

The 74 who regained their freedom are weak, highly traumatized, and need urgent medical attention to be able to get back on their feet.

On Friday, 7th April, 2023 suspected terrorists invaded Wanzamai, Kucheri, Gidan Chida villages and abducted 96 women and children to an unknown destination demanding N3million ransom for their release.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
